Posted by Tom Sykes on Thursday, September 2, 2010 , In : IMPROVING YOUR WEBSITE
Most companies structure their websites in a hierarchy, with separate pages on each individual product at the bottom of the page. If you're you're building a new website, there are many reasons for not doing it this way, but we're going to assume you're stuck with that way of doing things for now, and would like to make the best of what you have.

Step 2 - Sorting out the quality sites

Posted by Tom Sykes on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 , In : IMPROVING YOUR WEBSITE
Yesterday we suggested you found blogs or other websites talking about our technology, which allowed you to add comments. Today we're going to look at those websites and identify the most important ones.

The "quality" of a site in Google's eyes is indicated by the site's "PageRank". What we need to do now is to see which of the sites we've identified have a decent PageRank, and focus on those. We'd omit from this filtering any educational establishments (.ac.uk, or from the US, .edu) which are...
